Jeremy and I stopped by the grocery store the other night and happened to glance at the bulletin board next to the sliding doors in the entryway. I kicked myself for not having my phone with me, because we spotted a sign that said the following:
FOUND!
Chicken in Ingles parking lot.
Call 555-5555 to reclaim.
CHICKEN!!!!!
Exactly like that, with "chicken" in giant brown and yellow letters. This is what comes of living in a place where city council passes an ordinance allowing chickens in the city limits. I'm not sure if the chicken was ultimately claimed or eaten, but the sign was gone the next time we went to the store.
